摘要:中国加入WTO世贸组织后大力实施经济的对外开放程度，大量增加了吸引外商投资的总量，同时外资经济也推动了国民经济的增长与改革。外商投资最直接的作用就是可以增加我国的资本存量，弥补了外汇的双缺口，而外商投资企业又吸收了大量的劳动力，提高了就业率，缓解了就业压力。
重庆市作为中西部一个重要的枢纽城市，特别是带动西部地区的经济发展具有很重要的意义，可以作为一个很重要的典范城市来带动西部地区的发展。重庆市抓住中央直辖、三峡工程建设、西部大开发三大历史性机遇，大力调整经济结构，积极扩大开放，努力引进外资。
本文主要通过数据资料及客观实际情况分析得出重庆市近年来吸引外资的情况，得出吸引外资的现状及特点。然后在此基础上与其他城市和地区进行对比性分析，结合重庆市利用外资的存在的问题分析其原因，最后做出合理的趋势预测并提出可行性建议，力求对重庆市对外贸易经济发展提供一定的借鉴意义。

ABSTRCT:Vigorously implementing the opening up of the economy after China's accession to the WTO the WTO level, substantially increased total to attract foreign investment, while foreign funds also contributed to economic growth and reform of the national economy. Foreign direct investment is to increase the role of China's capital to make up for the exchange of two-gap, while foreign-invested enterprises absorbed a large amount of labour, increase the employment rate, easing employment pressures.
As an important hub of Midwest City of Chongqing, in particular, stimulate the economic development of Western regions has very important significance, could serve as a model for a very important city to boost development of the Western region. Catch Union territory, construction of the three gorges project in Chongqing municipality, Western development's three historical opportunities, adjusting the economic structure, actively opening up and efforts to attract foreign investment.
This article primarily through data analysis in recent years to attract foreign investment in Chongqing and the objective factual circumstances, status and characteristics of that attracted foreign investment. Then compare with other cities and regions on the basis of this analysis, combined with the analysis of the problems in the utilization of foreign capital in Chongqing due to finally make a reasonable prediction, and put forward feasible suggestions, seek to Chongqing foreign trade and economic development to provide a certain degree of significance.
