Abstract:"Double Income No kids” family, which is called DINK family for short, appeared in America in 1960s and 1970s. As a new family pattern, DINK families are gaining worldwide attention; many countries have set off a DINK boom. With the development of our country, DINK family pattern also gains a great popularity in China. It can not be denied that the appearance of DINK families is a great challenge to the traditional family pattern. It raises a hot controversy among the public. Even so, more and more people choose to enjoy the two-person world instead of bearing a child for various reasons. Therefore, the topic why this phenomenon appeared in China is worthy of research.
This paper will discuss the causes of DINK families in China from the perspective of people’s mentality. The discussion is based on the research achievements by the domestic and oversea scholars. I will introduce the background information, the origin first. Then I will analyze the reasons with the theory of Maslow, and from the angles of male Dinks and female Dinks. After that I will analyze its social impacts in a rational way. This paper is expected to help people better understand the DINK families and to give some them revelation.

摘要:丁克家庭指的是“双收入无子女”的家庭,最早于上世纪六七十年代出现在美国。作为一个新兴的家庭模式,丁克家庭受到全世界的关注,许多国家纷纷掀起了一股“丁克”热潮。随着我国的发展,这种家庭模式在我国同样受到关注。不可否认,丁克家庭的出现是对传统的家庭模式的巨大挑战,并引起热烈争议。尽管如此,越来越多的人因为各种原因放弃生孩子而选择享受二人世界。因此,丁克家庭出现在中国的原因是一个值得研究的话题。
本文将以国内外学者所取得的一些研究成果作为理论基础,从人们的心态角度讨论丁克出现在中国的原因。首先我会介绍有关丁克的背景资料和起源,然后运用马斯洛需求层次理论分析丁克出现的原因,并分别从男丁克和女丁克的角度分析他们的心理。最后我会从理性的角度分析其社会影响。我希望本文能帮助人们更好地理解丁克家庭,并能带给人们一些启迪和帮助。
