Abstract: The aim of this paper is to study the application of the Cooperative Learning (CL) to the primary school English teaching. Based on the motivational theories, goal structure theory, and developmental theory, the author introduces CL’s definition. According to the current situation of Cooperative Learning applied in the primary school, the author also indicates the benefits of CL, and some solutions to the problems, which still commonly exist in the primary school English teaching. The conclusion of this paper is that in the primary English teaching, CL can make the classroom active, improve the efficiency of classroom teaching, motivate pupils’ learning interest and cultivate pupils’ communicative ability and cooperative awareness.

摘要:本文旨在研究小组合作学习在小学英语教学中的应用。作者介绍了合作学习的基本内涵,并以动机理论,目标结构理论和发展理论为基础;针对目前合作学习的运用现状,阐述了合作学习在小学英语课堂教学中的优势,并针对合作学习在小学英语课堂教学中存在的普遍问题,提出了相应的解决方案。文章的结论是在小学英语教学中,小组合作学习活跃课堂气氛,提高课堂教学效果,激发学生的学习兴趣以及培养学生的交际能力和合作意识。
