Abstract:With the rapid development of human society, English neologisms are developing very fast. Everyday, there are hundreds of English new words appearing on the Internet or in the newspaper. All of these neologisms are not created without foundation. They reflect the current situation of our society. As English learners, it is necessary for us to know the characteristics and translations of English neologisms, so that we are able to better use the English new words. This paper attempts to introduce three characteristics of English new words and some translations of them in common use.
