Abstract：With the development of economy and science and the ever-increasing communications with foreign countries, translation of scientific works becomes very important. With the reform and open deepen continuously, the socialism undertaking with China features move forward continuously and the international association expand continuously in our country, English as international language is bring into play a more and more important role. And English for science and technology even introduce the advance technology and management from overseas, the increasingly important status and functions are visually.
But since enter the 21 century, the situation take a earthshaking change, the technology change with each passing day, especially the computer technology，information technology,Nami technology,environmental protection,modern medical science and biology project which use the clone technology as core, the development is so fast for us to observe. Accompanied by mass English documentary materials which reflect these new subjects, new fields, and new progress. English for science and technology translation become extremely important assignment and focus again. Nowadays, many countries in the world set up the research center of EST, the universities also set up the EST major or EST department which deal with the research, teaching of EST language and train the talented person of EST specially. Recently, Professor Wei Rurao has made his new latest results in the English for science and technology translation known to the public, including the methods and techniques, these latest results make the research of EST move into a further stage. In this thesis, the author discusses the characteristics and translation skills of EST uniformly, which is different from the recent domestic works. Therefore, in order to better accomplish the translation work, this article describes some characteristics of scientific English and their translation skills, and uses a number of examples to demonstrate the arguments.

中文摘要：随着时代的发展，科技的进步，对外贸易的日益增长，翻译成了一项非常重要的工作。我国改革开放的不断深化、中国特色社会主义事业的不断推进以及对外国际交往的不断扩展，作为国际性语言的英语正在发挥越来越重要的作用。其中，科技英语更是扮演着传递交流引进国外先进技术的科学技术、管理经验的角色，其日益重要的地位和作用国人有目共睹。
但是，自进入21世纪以来，情况发生了翻天覆地的变化，科学技术日新月异、迅猛发展，特别是计算机技术、信息技术、纳米技术、环境保护、现代医学以及以克隆技术为核心的生物工程等领域，其发展之快常常令我们目不暇接。伴随而来的是反映这些新学科、新领域、新进展的英文文献资料大量涌现。科技英语翻译再次成为十分重要的任务和关注点。现在世界上许多国家设立了科技英语研究中心，大学里也设立科技英语专业或科技英语系，专门从事科技英语语言的研究、教学和科技英语人才的培养。最近，魏汝饶教授发表了他对可以英语翻译研究的最新成果，包括各种方法和技巧。这些最新成果将科技英语的研究工作推进到了一个更深的层次。但是，国内的著作中缺乏对科技英语的特点及翻译技巧进行统一的归纳和对比。因此，为了更好的完成翻译工作，本文介绍了科技英语的一些特点及其翻译技巧，并利用一定数量的例子进行论证。
