Abstract:All the children are interested in stories. Storytelling teaching method can be applied to the children aged seven to fourteen. Storytelling teaching method not only enable pupils to achieve the demands of the New English Syllabus, but also motives pupils’ interest, and solves the problems of English learning and opens up the knowledge of pupils. This paper analyzes the advantages of storytelling teaching method and it also gives some suggestions about it.

摘 要:所有的孩子都喜欢听故事。故事教学法适用于7-14 岁的少年儿童。它不但促使学生更好的达到英语课程标准的要求，而且能激发学生的学习兴趣，解决学习动机问题，并且拓宽学生的知识面。本文列举了故事教学法的优点以及在使用时应注意的一些事项。
