Abstract:This thesis attempts to gain an insight into the Western culture from the impact of religion on culture and ideas. Because the difference in style of communication is not only confined to language, but also includes nonverbal communication, for example, beliefs, customs and way of thinking, and so on. Christian belief has condenses western saints’ Faith and consensus gradually. Customs and ideas of Christianity have worked into the western culture. Christianity has created a brilliant culture in the West, and it has a certain influence on Western values and concepts of its ideas. We mainly study the cultural connection, cultural inheritation, cultural reconstruction and the status quo of the culture to find out the Christian influence on western culture.

中文摘要:本文尝试从宗教对文化和思想的影响了解西方文化的精神，因为沟通风格的差异不只限于语言，还包括非语言沟通，例如信仰、风俗和思维方式等等。基督教信仰逐渐凝聚起西方教徒的信仰共识，西方社会人权和民主思想的形成发展，深受基督教影响的。督教已经渗入了西方文化的血肉之中。特别是那种指向绝对价值的超越精神，已经成为西方文化的最醒目的标志。基督教在欧洲所扮演的角色，不仅是古代西方文明的“继承者”，更是近代西方文化的“缔造者”。基督教在西方曾经创造了辉煌灿烂的文化，它对西方的价值观，思想观都有其一定的影响。
我们从历史，西方人的习惯及思想来研究基督教是如何渗入到西方的文化当中的。我们主要从文化交汇，承续，改造和更新去了解基督教对西方文化的转变过程的影响。
