Abstract: With the booming of tourism, translation of tourism texts has developed rapidly in China, but most English version of tourism texts are poorly done. From the perspective of Nida’s functional equivalence theory, this thesis aims at the analysis of mistranslation in tourism English texts. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the concepts of “culture” and the differences between East and West. The second part analyzes the mistranslation in tourism English texts. The third part introduces Nida’s functional equivalence theory. And the fourth part is the suggestions of the author. In this part, the author discusses the approaches to translation of tourism texts, including scenic spots and scenic areas, and demonstrates the theoretical value and practical significance of the application of Nida’s theory. The last part is the conclusion.

摘要:中国旅游业的发展带动了旅游文本翻译的飞速发展。但很多旅游文本的翻译不尽人意,本文结合奈达的功能对等理论,针对旅游文本翻译中出现的质量低下问题进行了初步的研究和分析。这篇论文分为5个部分。第一部分介绍了“文化”的概念以及东西方文化的差异。第二部分分析了目前英语旅游文本翻译中的误译。第三部分介绍了奈达的功能对等理论。第四部分是理论和实践相结合的部分,探讨了旅游英语文本信息传递的途径,对旅游景点和旅游景区提出了具体的翻译方法,论述了奈达理论对旅游资料翻译的指导作用和现实意义。最后是全文观点的总结。
