Abstract:With the development of the science and technology, English is used in communication and economic activities. Master English become more and more important. However, vocabulary is the basic unit in the English. It is the most important element in English learning. But for many years English learners have been laying stress on grammar teaching overlooking the importance of vocabulary teaching. This thesis aims at try to seek scientific techniques for vocabulary teaching and learning. By using questionnaires, this paper made a thorough research on the strategies used by teachers and students in middle schools for English vocabulary teaching and learning. To know about the present state of English vocabulary teaching, the students’ methods they used for English vocabulary learning in senior high schools, the problems exiting in their English study, the English teachers’ strategies used in English vocabulary teaching in senior high schools. According to these problems, this paper has put forward several pieces of suggestion for the teachers and the students in English vocabulary teaching and learning.

摘要:随着科学技术的发展，英语广泛应用在交际和许多经济活动中。掌握英语变得越来越重要。然而，词汇这个最基本的语言单位是英语学习的重要因素。但多年来英语学习者一直只注重语法的学习而忽视了词汇教学。本文的目的就是努力寻求科学有效的词汇教学学习法。通过问卷调查，本文对晋宁二中教师和学生在词汇教学现状做了透彻的了解和分析，针对这些问题，本文对教师和学生在英语词汇的教学和学习中提出了一些建议。
