Abstract
Since patriarchal period went prevalent, gender discrimination against woman generated hither and thither. Jane Eyre, the awakening pioneer of female consciousness, dared to pursue her personal dignity and equal love in an independent way. The author labeled Jane as a rebellious heroine and Jane revealed the misery life of common people at that time. Besides, this novel expounded a significant theme that every single woman has the right to pursue her love. This paper is to analysis the leading character Jane Eyre, from whom we can see an awakening consciousness of female and woman’s love.
