Abstract
Nowadays, network buzzwords play an important role in our everyday life. As a result, the translation of Chinese network buzzwords becomes more and more important too. How to translate Chinese network buzzwords has become a significant study for scholars. This article introduces the definitions of dynamic equivalence theory and network buzzwords briefly. The author uses several typical examples to elaborate the constitutional features of network buzzwords on the basis of three elements: phonetic features, lexical origins and grammar features. Finally, some translation methods for Chinese network buzzword translation are introduced from the perspective of dynamic equivalence theory, which takes readers’ response as a criterion; they are literal translation with notes, transliteration with interpretation and free translation.
