Abstract: Clothing trademarks, is a symbol that makes a distinction among all kinds of dress-appurtenances, aiming at promoting the garment products. With the development of global economy and the increasing number of clothing manufacturers, as the most important part of advertising, clothing brand names play a very important role in helping the products enter the market. Meanwhile, the translation of Chinese brand names into English is helpful for our Chinese businessmen to output their products and catch foreigner's eye in order to sell more garments in foreign countries so that they can also make more profits. This paper starts with basic knowledge of the clothing trademark, and take Nada's functional equivalence as a cardinal principle and method employed in clothing trademark translation. By analyzing the specific cases, this paper is to summarize some feasible translation ways and hopes that they can make sense.
