Abstract：As a typical political essay, the Work Report of the Government has attracted wide attention. A good translation of The Work Report of the Government can help people all over the world to have a better understanding of China, so many scholars have conducted much deeper researches on its English version. This thesis, taking skopos theology as the theoretical framework, uses The Work Report of the Government of 2017 and its English version as the corpus to explore the proper translation skills employed in the conversion of part of speech or transformation of voice etc. It is hoped that the study can play a referencing role in future translation of political essays so as to improve the quality of translation of political essays.

中文摘要：《政府工作报告》作为一种典型的政论文，受到了人们的广泛关注。好的译本有助于让世界更好地了解中国，因此人们对其英译的研究也逐渐深入。本文以功能目的论为理论框架，以2017年政府工作报告及其英译本为语料，探讨其英译中的词性转换和语态转换等技巧，希望能对今后政论文的翻译研究起到一定的借鉴作用，从而提高政论性文章的翻译质量。
