摘要：随着近年来江苏省经济的飞速发展，扬州宝应县经济已经成为江苏省经济增长的必不可少的一部分。但是在与其他县及市地区的经济发展相比，差距仍然很明显。探索宝应经济发展的正确定位，是改变目前宝应欠发达状况，实现宝应经济跨越式发展的基本途径。如何调整及进行经济定位是本文研究的一项重要课题。
首先描述宝应的自然概况与区位优势，介绍宝应的经济现状。在以上基础上进行评价分析，包括外部环境以及内部资源等，进而提出经济发展过程中存在的问题。
第二部分在针对宝应经济发展过程中存在的问题，政府对宝应发展的战略定位以及适和宝应的产业选择。
最后根据之前阐述，制定出我所认为适合宝应乃至相关地区经济发展的战略，由被动接受产业分工转向自主参与分工，实现宝应新一轮产业转轨升级，建设经济强县。
