摘要：周恩来同志是伟大的马克思主义者。他的一生是无产阶级革命家的一生,杰出的共产主义战士的一生。但周恩来同志最初接触到马克思主义却不是在中国,而是在日本。东渡日本在他早期思想的发展中是一个转折点,是他成长为共产主义战士的开端。本文拟通过对周恩来同志留学日本的背景、周恩来同志在日本接触的新思想和实践活动，周恩来同志在旅日时期社会改造观念的变化三个方面来对周恩来同志留学日本时期的思想变化和发展进行探析。
