从液压系统的控制方式来看，DQ450DBZ顶驱液压系统为一开环控制系统，根据该系统在顶驱上实现的功能不同可将其分为八个部分，分别为液压站、平衡系统、刹车系统、防喷器、背钳、锁销、旋转动力头和吊环倾斜系统。
倾斜油缸是顶驱液压系统的一部分，它的主要有两方面的用途：一是可伸向小鼠洞抓取单根，方便、快捷地实现接单根；二是在接立根时不需要二层台上的井架工将大钩拉靠到二层台上，通过前倾可实现抓取立根操作。
