摘要：路易斯·海因是最先将相机用于社会改革的美国纪实摄影家，他拍摄童工工作的照片，所拍的照片促使了儿童劳动法的成立，人们称他为曝光童工悲惨生活的勇士。在他的一生中还拍摄了很多劳动者生存环境的照片，反映着当时的一种社会现象。海因相信纪实摄影不但具有纪实性与艺术观赏性，更具有社会推动性。海因用纪实摄影的方法曝光美国童工工作艰苦环境的作品是其成功例子之一，很好的利用了摄影的纪实性，即我们所说的纪实摄影。对其纪实摄影进行研究与学习可以使摄影更好的推动社会的进步和发展，这也是本课题研究的最终目的。

Abstract：Lewis.Hine is the first to use camera for the social reform of American photographers. He shot in canned food factory, coal mines and textile mill photos of child work, Which prompted the creation of the child labor law. So people called him the exposure the worst tragic lives of warriors. Just the shot of child labour, he also took many photos of workers living environment, reflecting a social phenomenon. Hine believe appreciation not only has the art of photography, promote more socially. Relating to the text, picture has highly intuitive. When a universal negative phenomena were recorded and released by photographer, gave the shock is self-evident. Because pictures have such an appeal, people know the seriousness of the problem and thus do their efforts to change the status quo, then we would have a better and more comprehensive social. Hine’s works on exposure of child labour of the harsh conditions of work is one of the successful examples. The study believe that it can make photography better applied to social improvement in our work, this is the ultimate goal of this research.

海因晚年时多以赞扬社会为主，但他还是一直坚持着自己的信念。他坚信摄影不仅仅是一个表达艺术的工具，摄影更是推动社会进步的有力武器。在海因晚年时，他带着儿子四处奔波，纪录了很多当时的社会现象。在这方面上，海因从来没有停住自己的脚步，不管每一步踏出的有多么艰辛，他都一直在坚持。海因自称他的成就就是“社会摄影”的成就，他为社会纪实摄影的发展奠定了理论基础，也为后人树立起很好的榜样。他的作品和精神可以供很多后现代的摄影师去借鉴和学习。从海因的一生成就和他作品中我们可以知道，只要利用好摄影的社会功能性，就能使摄影更好的对社会起到良好的推动作用，这样就可以使不够完善的社会逐步的改善进而使当下社会不公平现象不断减少。这不是某一个人可以做到的，这需要我们每一个人的努力，因为一个人的力量太小了。相信只要我们延续海因的信念，以后的社会就会进步的更快更完善，这也是论文的最终目的。
