Abstract：The research topics about Oscar Wilde are ones of the hot issues for scholars across the world in both ancient and modern times. According to available statistics, from early 1900s till now, there are millions of works on Oscar Wilde. Most of those previous studies have covered Wilde’s characteristics, life style, the anecdotes of his homosexual dispute, litigation, trial, Wilde’s artistic point of view, literary form or language, his influence to the literary world and his criticism. Starting from a different perspective, this dissertation is to point out the truth of the Christian salvation hidden in the story.
Oscar Wilde’s fairy tales were full of Christian belief. His leading characters were always saved in a Christian way after suffering from trials and tribulations. This thesis aims to reveal Oscar Wilde’s views of Christianity and Salvation through analyzing the Christian salvation in The Happy Prince.
It is the hope of the author that the present study will bring some new light to the interpretation of Oscar Wilde.

中文摘要：关于奥斯卡·王尔德的各种研究一直是古今中外众多学者中的热门话题。据不完全统计，从1900年至今，与王尔德相关的研究作品数以万计，大多都集中在王尔德的个性、生活方式、使他早殒的同性恋纠纷、诉讼、审判等轶事以及他的艺术观点、文学形式和语言技巧、对文学界的贡献和文学批评理论等方面。本文则从不同的视角出发，通过分析《快乐王子》这篇童话，直指隐藏在王尔德童话作品中的基督教性质的救赎形式的真相。
王尔德的童话弥漫着浓厚的宗教气息，他笔下的主人公在经历种种磨难后，往往通过充满宗教意蕴的方式得到救赎。本文通过对这种救赎的本质进行探讨，浅析王尔德的宗教观和救赎观。
希望本文的写作能为奥斯卡·王尔德的解读提供一种新的视角和启发。
