ABSTRACT:English minor emerges along with the society needs of English inter-disciplinary talents. Most universities and colleges set up English minor, no exception for Chongqing University of Science and Technology (CQUST). There are many studies about course design for an English major on the basis of needs analysis. These studies point out some principles that should be observed, and propose suggestions for existing defects. But the author found that there almost no direct studies on course design for English minor. According to identify the problems and defects which exist in English minor course design by questionnaire survey on the basis of needs analysis, the author has investigated 60 students from different periods and 3 teachers who teach English minor students, and then to find out some solutions in accordance with these problems and deficiency. More people pay more attention and attaches great importance to this section, make contribution to suggesting reformation, optimizing frameworks and promoting development for English minor course design. The result of investigation shows us three sides, firstly, the existing curriculum has no problem in CQUST; secondly, there are some problems in the teaching process, students’ desired variable and satisfaction isn’t satisfied enough, so teachers need to pay attention to students’ reflection in classes; thirdly, students attach importance to basic courses, and they also hope that courses could be arranged from Monday to Friday, because they have something meaningful to do in the weekend.

摘要:英语二专作为社会对英语复合型人才需求才应运而生。现在的大多数高等院校也设立了英语二专这个专业，重庆科技学院也不例外。现目前有很多基于需求分析上英语专业课程设置的研究，这些研究指出课程设置应当遵循的原则，找出现有的缺陷并提出改革的建议。但几乎没有明确的研究是针对英语二专的课程设置，本文通过问卷调查和访谈的方式，对60名不同年级的二专学生和3名二专任课教师，基于需求分析理论来找出存在于现有的课程设置中的问题和缺陷，并针对性的提出解决的建议和意见。希望更多的人能关注和重视这一方面，试图为建议课程设置改革，优化课程结构框架和促进英语二专课程设置贡献一份力。调查结果可以归纳为三个方面，第一,本校的课程设置没有问题，但是在教学过程中出现了一些问题；第二，如学生对课程的掌握度没有达到期望值，因此在教学过程中老师应该多关注学生；第三，学生认为更应该注重基础型课程；而且希望二专课程安排在周一到周五，可以将周末的时间拿来做一些其他有意义的事情。
