Abstract: The first deals with the patient work of the review and nationalism of the analysis, research war of both narrow nationalism. 摘要：本文首先论述了英国病人作品的文献回顾以及民族主义的定义分析，延伸研究战争环境下的狭隘民族主义，从而得出超越民族主义在《英国病人》主人公性格上的体现。通过从民族主义视角分析《英国病人》中四个人物体现的性格特点，重点论述了在战争环境下，世界人民内心创伤不甘于政治身份，渴望超越民族主义的心理，这在一定程度上广义的表现为人文关怀，也就是说，只有当人类自身的愿望和个人身份被承认时，当民族和种族不再成为激起人类之间仇杀的借口时，超越民族主义的可能性以及普遍性的意义得以实现。在英国病人中，超越狭隘的民族主义，其实质在于仁慈。仁慈是没有国界的，人类生活的圣洁和尊严，不分民族，宗教和种族，都应该被尊重。
