Abstract: With more and more foreign movies and TV plays shown on Chinese screen, subtitles, subtitles in sitcoms in particular, play a more and more important role in cultural communication. However, humor translation of subtitles in sitcoms does not arouse much attention. Based on the theory of Vermeer's Skopostheorie, this paper presents a case study of humorous languages in the popular American sitcom The Big Bang Theory by analyzing the three kinds of humor and the strategies that translators adopt. It is suggested in this paper that translators should choose appropriate translating strategies so as to make the target audience perceive the humor of the source language in accordance with their expectations and the cultural customs of the target languages.

摘要：随着外国电影和电视节目不断被引进中国，字幕，特别是情景喜剧的字幕，在文化交流中充当了越来越重要的角色。但是，情景喜剧中字幕的幽默翻译却没有受到足够的重视。本文以弗米尔的目的论为理论依据，对时下非常受欢迎的美国情景喜剧《生活大爆炸》中的幽默语言进行研究，分析《生活大爆炸》中的三种幽默语言及翻译策略。本文认为在幽默语的翻译过程中，译者应该根据目的语观众的期望，顺从目的语语言文化习惯，选用恰当的翻译策略，使幽默的效果再现于译语,帮助目的语观众理解原语中的幽默。
