Abstract : Aiming at finding out the non-language factors and drawing out some efficient strategies to improve English majors’ listening abilities, this study starts with a survey. 200 English majors from a university are investigated on the non-language factors influencing their English listening. The survey suggests that cultural factors, psychological factors, learning habits and teaching materials obtain larger perceptions. Based on the result, this thesis further analyzes the factors and gives some suggestions in teaching English listening, especially to English majors.

摘要:为了找出非语言因素对英语专业学生听力理解的影响并总结出一些有效的方法以提高听力能力,本文先做了份调查。来自某大学的200名英语专业学生参与了此次关于非语言因素对听力理解的影响因素的调查。调查显示文化因素,心理因素,学习习惯和教材所占的比例较大。根据调查结果,本文将进一步分析这四个因素并给出相应的建议。
