Abstract:This essay is about the translation of color terms on the basis of comparative research of culture differences between the English and Chinese language, and figure out the difficulties on understanding and expression in cross-culture communication by facts and theories, then point out the basis of appropriate translation of color-terms.
This essay is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the influences of the different cultures on the color terms. The second part compares the different ways of color-term translation between English and Chinese. The third part clarifies the Culture factors leading to various ways of translation of color-terms between English and Chinese. The forth part introduces the basic for appropriate translation of color-terms. The last part is the conclusion.

中文摘要:本文从色彩词汇翻译角度出发，探讨中英文化的差异，利用例子和事实，推演出跨国文化交流中理解和表达方面存在的困难，进而指出准确翻译色彩词汇的基本要素。
本文共分为五部分。第一部分介绍了不同文化对色彩词汇的影响；第二部分比较中英互译中色彩词汇翻译的不同方法；第三部分阐明了中英文化影响色彩词汇翻译的途径；第四部分说明了准确翻译色彩词汇的基本要素。第五部分为结论。
