Abstract:Vocabulary plays an important part in language and language acquisition begins with it. Learning English vocabulary makes great contribution to the development of grammar, listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore, this thesis points out the importance of vocabulary in English study first. Second, this thesis brings forward that teaching vocabulary in situation teaching is very crucial. Teachers may use objects, pictures and modern teaching equipments to create a situation. Finally, this thesis demonstrates two important ways about teaching vocabulary in situation teaching, which are teaching English vocabulary in games and short scene act.

中文摘要:词汇是语言的一个重要的部分，并且语言习得也是从词汇开始的。搞好英语词汇学习对英语语法和听说读写的提高有举足轻重的意义。本文首先指出了词汇的重要性。本文认为在情境教学中教词汇是非常重要的。并且详细阐述了教师通过使用实物、图片和现代教学媒体来创造情境的方法，以及在情境教学中词汇教学的两种重要方式，即游戏和短剧表演。
