Abstract:This paper discusses how to teach vocabulary learning strategies in English teaching at middle school from three perspectives: 1) to analyze the teaching materials and classify the vocabulary learning strategies before designing a plan for teaching the types of strategies in the light of four principles; 2) to discuss two ways of strategies training in terms of three teaching principles, i.e., visualization, contextualization and , learning autonomic; and 3) to evaluate teaching effects and students’ performance in the form of track and collective evaluation, e.g., quizzes, exercises, questionnaires and tests. The discussion is based on a case study of the English textbook for junior middle school students (Book 2), specifically, analyzing the vocabularies in the textbook, and designing a plan for teaching vocabulary learning strategies.

中文摘要:本文从三方面探讨在中学英语教学中如何教词汇学习策略:1)分析教材,讨论词汇学习策略的分类方法并给出一个详细的分类步骤与分类范例,以四项原则谈如何选取教学内容与如何安排教学内容。2)根据中学教材的特点,笔者认为在教词汇策略中应贯彻直观性、情境性与自主学习三大原则。3)本文对词汇策略教学过程采取阶段性评价和总结性评价。以小测试、课后作业、问卷调查和考试等方式对学生学习与老师教学双方面效果评价。
上述三方面的讨论建立在案例研究基础上,对中学一册书的词汇内容进行案例分析,设计策略训练教学方案,讨论策略训练方法,阐述策略教学评价的内容与手段。
