Abstract:Love is the eternal topic of human beings，and this is no exception in Andersen’s fairy tales. People all desire true love and keep searching for it. However, there are rare people who really understand the true meaning of love. Andersen has revealed the essence of love to us through his fairy tales, which is very valuable. According to the love trilogy (parents’ love, friend’s love and lover’s love), this paper traces the background of the author and analyzes the love in Andersen’s fairy tales respectively from his three representative works (The Story of a Mother, The Nightingale and The Little Mermaid). Moreover, the paper analyzes the effect of the love in Andersen’s fairy tales on people. By analyzing the love in Andersen’s fairy tales and its effect on people, the paper aims to make people comprehend the essence of love from Andersen’s fairy tales and knew how to love with a grateful heart.

中文摘要:爱是人类永恒的话题，当然这在安徒生童话也不例外。人们渴望真爱，追寻真爱，而真正懂得爱之真谛的人却很少。难得可贵的是安徒生通过童话的方式向我们道出了爱的真谛。在了解了作者相关的背景资料后，本文通过爱的三部曲：亲情、友情和爱情，分别从安徒生童话中取其经典代表作（《母亲的故事》、《夜莺》、《美人鱼》），详细地分析了何为爱的真谛。本文还讨论了安徒生童话中的“爱”是如何感染和影响着读者的。通过对安徒生的三部经典著作的解析，本文旨在让世人从安徒生童话中领悟到爱的真谛，并懂得怀着一颗感恩的心去爱。
