Abstract:A lot of people like reading, but they do not know how to use the useful methods to read. In fact, the right method is important and necessary. This paper will introduce four skills of reading: previewing, skimming, scanning and inferring and discuss how they will be applied in an examination. I hope the skills will help English learners improve their reading abilities.
