Abstract: Learning motivation which is an important factor in learning has great effects on students’ English learning. Students with strong learning motivation are more liable to study and practice English diligently and students who have stronger motivation to learn English are more likely to show a strong desire for English learning. The study took English majors in Nanjing Xiaozhuang College as the subjects, aiming to firstly present the status quo of English majors’ motivation of English learning and trend through the questionnaire, and secondly analyze the correlation between motivation and English Learning of English Majors through analyzing the results of the questionnaire, lastly, come up with corresponding strategies to control the phenomenon of alienated motivation in English learning, and provide some reference opinions to help English majors to boost their motivation level in English learning.

摘要: 动机是激励人去行动的内部动因和力量。一个有英语学习动机的学生会表现出渴求外语学习的强烈愿望。它是推动外语学习的一种内部动因,是影响英语学习的一个重要因素。本文通过对学习动机理论的分析与对英语专业本科生学习动机的问卷调查,旨在首先通过问卷呈现大学生的英语学习动机现状或趋向;其次通过分析问卷调查的结果体现动机和大学专业英语学习的相关性;最后对于英语学习中存在动机异化的现象提出相关调控策略,为大学专业英语的教学提供一些参考性的意见,帮助学习者更好的习得外语提供可行策略。
