Abstract: With the rapid development of modern education technology, multimedia assisted teaching is imperative. Compared with the traditional teaching mode, the multimedia teaching in college English teaching has numerous advantages, its sufficient information improves the teaching efficiency, rich expressions stimulate the students’ learning interest and preferable interactivity provides students with a fertile learning environment, which promote their comprehensive abilities. However, at present, there are still a number of disadvantages. This article puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions in view of the disadvantages of the multimedia college English teaching through analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the multimedia college English teaching in order to make the multimedia teaching play the biggest role in college English teaching.

摘要：随着现代教育技术的飞速发展，多媒体辅助教学的实现是十分必要的。与 传统教学方式比较，多媒体教学在大学英语教学中有众多优势，它充足的 信息量提高了教学效率，丰富的表现力激发了学生的学习兴趣，较强的交 互性为学生提供了一个良好的学习环境，进而促进了他们综合能力的提 高。然而，多媒体辅助教学目前仍存在不少弊端。本文通过对大学英语多 媒体教学的利端和弊端进行分析，针对大学英语多媒体教学的弊端提出了 相应的对策及建议，使多媒体教学在大学英语教育中起到最大的作用。
