Abstract: This study aims to explain that games play a very important role in the English teaching in primary schools by elaborating the definition, characteristics, variations and the educational functions of English teaching games. According to the analysis of psychological features and learning abilities of the pupils of middle and high grades in primary schools, the author gives four English teaching games which are suitable for the developmental characteristics of pupils of middle and high grades in primary schools. This paper provides a theoretical basis for teaching with games in primary school English teaching.

摘要:本文通过对英语教学游戏的定义、特征、类型、以及游戏的教育特性的详细阐述,旨在说明游戏在小学英语教学中具有非常重要的作用。笔者根据这些中年级和高年级的小学生的心理特征以及学习能力的分析,整理出了四个适合中年级和高年级小学生发展特性的英语教学游戏。本文为小学英语教师的游戏教学实践提供理论基础。
