Abstract: Wuthering Heights describes the extreme love and hate between Catherine and Heathcliff. When they are children, they fall in love with each other. However, mainly because of Catherine’s betrayal ,there has no happy development between them,so they finally broke up with each other .The two protagonists walk along the road where is filled with struggle ,torment and Revenge. The theme of the novel-love and Revenge takes a large part of the description in the novel, which also shows some true feelings inside the protagonists' deep hearts. In addtion to the love and Revenge between two protagonists, this novel also reflects the social rules in the 19th century.
