Abstract:What makes a happy life？What is love? The enlightenment of “The little Prince” by the wisdom fox is actually the writer Antoine de saint- Exupéry wants to tell us. In the text, the little prince feels helpless. The rose makes him extremely worry. This is the reason for the little prince to leave and think deeply about the true meaning of love in the lonely long journey. The little prince faces to all the people. When he faces to the pilot, he feels strange. His most profound experience is the relations with the rose, the fox, and the snake. The relation with the rose is love. In the process of the experience, he observes those “adults” who are occupied with a lot of valueless thing such as hunting for power, being vain and searching for too much owning, working and learning. The little prince pursues the true value of life and true love without any obstacle. The subject of this thesis is mainly about the little prince’s course of realizing love. It begins with escaping from the love restricting, experiencing the course of taming others, and ends with returning of love. In the society is full of human touch, searching for love has a profound meaning indeed.

中文摘要:什么是幸福?什么是爱?这正是作家安东尼·德·圣埃克苏佩里想告诉我们的。故事的主人公小王子是一个超凡脱俗的仙童，他住在一颗只比他大一点儿的小行星上。陪伴他的是一朵他非常喜爱的小玫瑰花。但玫瑰花的虚荣心伤害了小王子对她的感情。小王子告别小行星，开始了寻找真爱的旅行。首先从爱的逃离,经历了爱的追寻,最后到爱的回归,层层递进,发人深省。
本选题通过对《小王子》内容的深入挖掘，重点阐述作品中所蕴含的爱的意义，在作者所处的世界与小王子所生活的世界不同思维的猛烈冲撞中，揭示爱与责任的价值，从而发掘作品本身的现代意义。
