Abstract:Cooperative learning is a theoretic and systematic studying strategy which is applied by many countries in the world. The cooperative learning has become spotlight in research and practice of modern education in China after the implementation of English New Curriculum Reform in 2000. This paper is based on an investigation delivered to the teachers and students in Xin’an middle school, which will explore the implementations of the cooperative learning in junior English, in remote areas together with the main problems still existing in modern English teaching and learning . Through a series of theoretical researches and practical investigations, some problems and some advantages of cooperative learning have been found. Advantages: 1. Cooperative learning provides a good way for the students to carry out the communicative and interactive learning practically and effectively. 2. Cooperative learning is one of the effective learning models. 3. Cooperative learning can cultivate the students’ spirit of solidarity and cooperation and the sense of collective honor. 4. Cooperative learning improves students’ interests in learning English. Problems: 1.divide group unreasonably. 2. Students participate not actively. 3. Students prepare not adequately. At last part of my paper, the author will introduce some resolutions to those problems.

中文摘要:合作性学习是一种理论化和系统化的学习策略,广泛应用于世界上的许多国家。自从我国在2000年实施了英语新课标改革后,合作性学习成为了我国现代教育研究和实施的亮点。在我国实施英语新课标改革后,基于在新安中学的调查和研究,本文将探索合作性学习在偏远地区初中英语教学中的实施情况以及当今英语教学中存在的问题。本文对新安中学的教师和学生进行了调查和研究,结果发现:1. 合作性学习为学生的交际互动提供了有效的途径,提高了学生的口语和交际能力;2. 合作性学习是一种高效的学习方法;3.合作性学习有利于培养学生的团结精神和集体主义意识;4. 合作性学习提高了学生的英语学习兴趣。同时也发现了一些问题, 主要有1. 分组不当;2. 学生参与不积极,部分学生容易搭便车;3. 学生准备不充分导致课堂时间不够。本文的最后,作者针对上述问题提出了一些解决的办法。
