Abstract:This article aims to explain taboos which exist in our daily life or business activities in a perspective of intercultural communication, and then catch people’s attention to customs and taboos of different countries in international communication. The ultimate aim is to achieve a smooth interaction. In this article, it serves to describe the source of taboo and its cause, collect relevant information of different countries on taboos, and raise the suggestion to avoid the misuse of taboos in the cross-cultural communication. Through literature research and analysis, we not only find that taboos are prevalent in everyday life, but also recognize that their existence has play an important role in the cross-cultural communication.

中文摘要:本文透过跨文化交际的视角阐述在我们日常生活中或者商务交往活动中遇到的禁忌，进而引起人们在国际交往中对双方风俗禁忌的注意，最终达到顺利交往的目的。在文章中，通过介绍禁忌的来源及其产生的原因，并收集各国关于禁忌的一些资料，提出了在跨文化交际中避免误用禁忌的建议。通过文献研究和分析，我们不仅看到禁忌在日常生活中的普遍存在，更认识到其在跨文化交际活动中所起的重要作用。
