Abstract: In the process of human’s understanding and reforming the world, the reflection of the relationship between man and nature has never stopped. Although, Man has conquered the wild nature, man has also suffered greatly due to their reckless exploration. Moby-Dick tells the tale of one man's fatal obsession and his willingness to sacrifice his life and that of his crew to achieve his goal. This thesis deals with the relationship of man and nature, and examines the action of man’s exploration as well as the fate of the nature, which arouses man’s reflection of their deeds. The general trend of man’s exploration is to maintain the sustainable development between man and nature. Under no circumstances should we seek temporary development at the expense of the environment and nature resources. The paper draws the conclusion that it is necessary to enhance balance and harmony between man and nature so that people can work and live in a sound and beautiful ecological environment.

摘要：在人类认识和改造世界的过程中，从没有停止过思考人与自然的关系。尽管人类征服了荒野的大自然，人类也因其不计后果的开采遭受了很多惩罚。莫比·迪克一文揭示了人类致命的贪欲，为了达到目的，不惜牺牲自己和同伴的生命。本选题通过研究人与自然的关系，分析人类的探索和自然的命运，从而引起人类对自身行为的反省。人类探索的总体趋势是要保持人与自然的可持续发展，在任何情况下都不能以牺牲环境和自然资源来达到暂时的发展。本选题得出如下结论，要使人们在优美的生态环境中工作和生活，必须促进人与自然的协调与和谐。
