Abstract: Writing is one of the four basic skills in learning English, and its status and function is widely recognized. Writing skills can be the ticket to better college grades and greater academic achievement. The new syllabus stresses that middle school education should cultivate students’ comprehensive abilities in listening, speaking and reading which further strengthen writing skill. This article is to discuss some methods in improving students’ writing skills in English.

摘要:写作是英语学习中的四项基本技能之一，它的地位和作用已经得到广泛认可。写作技巧是取得高考高分和学术成就的关键。新考试大纲强调中学教育贵在培养学生的听，说，读的能力，从而进一步提高学生的写作能力。本篇文章将就如何提高中学生写作能力角度进行阐述。
