Abstract: Festival, as a cultural phenomenon, came into being during the course of human development and historical evolution. Festival is considered as a carrier of culture which means the total way of a people and characterizes the life of the human community. Spring Festival and Christmas Day, two representative and well-known festivals are chosen here to probe into the deeper layer of different human cultures. It is hoped that this study, which focuses on the comparison of Spring Festival and Christmas Day from many aspects, will help readers get a deeper understanding of different human cultures.

摘要：节日作为一种文化现象，是在人类发展和历史演变的过程中出现的。节日被誉为“文化的载体”，而文化意味着一个民族的总体生活方式，显示着人类社会生活的特征。作者选择春节和圣诞节这两个著名而具有代表性的节日，旨在更深层次地探求不同的人类文化。本论文拟通过比较春节和圣诞节的很多不同方面，让读者更好地理解人类文化的差异。
