Abstract:As Chinese international process is increasingly speeding up, the needs for advanced bilingual talents are becoming stronger accordingly. The paper aims to give an overview of Chinese college students’ acceptance of bilingual teaching by the application of questionnaire. The data and students’ feedbacks reveal that generally, students do not highly accept bilingual teaching, mainly because of two aspects- language environment and teaching resources. Based on such study, the writer points out that educational authorities should closely monitor the current situation, and encourage empirical experimentation rather than blind implementation of bilingual instruction.
Key words: bilingual teaching; acceptance; questionnaire
