ABSTRACT:Women are playing more and more important roles in different areas and they also make more and more contributions to the society like men. Especially those career women, they are a group of special representatives. They are charming, attractive and their special characteristics. This thesis is mainly analyzing the images of modern career women based on two movies, one is American—The Devil Wears Prada and another one is Chinese—Du Lala’s Promotion. These two movies are representative and also represent the eastern and western.
And the writer is going to figure out all the positive aspects of those modern career women’s images. They are well-educated, independent, talent and also fashionable. And from this point, the writer also hopes that more and more women can live an independent and colorful life as well and also can learn some good qualities and characteristics from the career women in this thesis. After reading this thesis, those women who are in a loss or do not know what to do can have some new ideas or inspirations about their own jobs or career.
