Abstract
The Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and other founding documents laid the basic framework for American democracy. American electoral politics is thought to demonstrate American democracy. But the history of the United States also reflects the different problems of so-called democracy, and can even be called a democratic crisis,especially the 2016 election. Dazzling fantasy scandal, fully exposed the United States advertised the "democratic politics" of many defects. People even think that the election is nothing but a stylized representation of American democracy. Starting from the Declaration of Independence , US Constitution ,conflict between elite and public ,electoral system and United States mass media, this thesis analyze the problem can be called democratic crisis in 2016 appeared in the US presidential election.
