Abstract
To analyze and compare the differences of table manners between China and the West and to make everyone know the differences of food culture in China and the West, the dissertation will be divided into four aspects: the differences of tableware, the differences of conversation at table, the differences of seating arrangement, the differences of way of dining. According to the four aspects, the dissertation will be stated more deeply. Cross-cultural activities between China and the West will be a success on the basis of the research and comparison of nations’ traditional culture. At the same time, food culture is an essential part of a nation’s traditional culture, so it can not be ignored, and then the importance of food culture can be showed.
