Abstract
Jane Austen was a well known female writer in British in 19th century. Her masterpiece is Pride and Prejudice. This novel tells the story of Bennet daughters and their neighbor Charlotte’s love stories and bumpy marriages. Elizabeth is lively and intelligent who is the special heroine that Jane Austen created in Pride and Prejudice. The oldest sister Jane is very beautiful whose personality is quite and gentle. We can see the social status of women and customs of British in the early 19th century. The purpose of the paper is to discuss the four marriages, the influence and significance of marriage to women and family in the early 19th century. What they can do for marriage as it was such an important outlet? These marriages can also reflect the author's own view on love and marriage.
