Abstract
The translation of political address is the key for foreigners to know China. With the Register Theory, interpreters will translate accurately. This thesis mainly studies the characteristics of political speeches by doing some research. The Register Theory is applied as the theoretical thesis and Xi Jinping’s address on the 70th Anniversary of Victory of the World Anti-Fascist War is analyzed to learn how to translate the political addresses more accurately. Through an analysis of the three elements of the Register Theory, we can achieve the expected goal of source text and have a better understanding of the background of speech and the scope of content. This will promote cooperation between countries to help foreigners better understand China and improve China's international status.
