Abstract
Metaphor as a cognitive phenomenon, has been widely used in the every aspect of Business English. Metaphor, through a series of corresponding relations, connects two different things together. As one of the most important aspects of rhetoric, it can reflect the deep meaning of the target language, and let learners not only understand the article itself, but also can better understand the meaning behind it. It is an important strategy to understand the use of metaphor in Business English. Metaphors in business English are a difficult topic, not only because these metaphors have their special business background, but also because they cannot show their meanings literally. A Metaphor theory is combined with business English in this paper which analyzes and discusses the classification and applications of metaphor in business English and strives to provide effective strategies and methods for business English learners .
