Abstract: At present Business English vocabulary research has just started in China and the related list has not been formed yet. This thesis, taking China Daily and The New York Times as the data sources, carries on the data analysis on the keywords of the two corpora. Results show that Chinese and American news media have significant differences in the use of business words regarding word length, word class and word formality. These differences can reveal the different attitude and the ideas behind the news media.
