Abstract: The Da Vinci Code, written by the American author Dan Brown, caused a huge storm in 2003 and had been on the top of the bestseller lists in the following two years. The popularity of this novel undoubtedly has made Dan Brown a famous and popular writer. The author of the novel showed female thoughts constantly. This paper intends to analyze woman’s role in the society and family and writing methods with Beauvoir’s feminist theory. The analysis of this thesis finally leads to the conclusion that women occupy an important position and play a significant role in the modern society, and we should develop the balance between men and women so as to build a harmonious society.
