Abstract: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, a fantasy work, deals with a serious thought about life. By the life story of Benjamin’s rejuvenation, the author tells us that all the superficial prosperity will disappear, and all the good things will eventually vanish. The dream that Human beings use all life to pursue is only a phantom. Even rejuvenation cannot bring the eternal happiness. This graduation paper aims to analyze Benjamin’s tragedy life from his family, education and marriage. Through exploring these curious cases in the entire life of Benjamin Button, this paper makes an attempt to prove that the tragedy of Benjamin Button is the disillusionment of American dream.
