Abstract
Listening is a basic skill in English learning. However, in the "listening, speaking, reading and writing" four basic skills, listening skill is usually considered the most difficult to obtain. There are many reasons for junior high school students being poor at English listening.The specific performance is not firmly grasping English language basic knowledge, do not understand the relevant cultural background knowledge,not have some authentic English language training environment, more task-based learning, usually aimed at examination in English learning and lack of communicative teaching, and so on,which are some factors making junior high school students feel it difficult to learn English listening. This paper introduces the research background of English listening ability through the exposition of the theory of English listening ability, it shows many education experts and psychologists the main research results to the theory of English listening ability,and obtains the influencing factors of English listening ability of junior middle school students.It is a good groundwork for later empirical analysis. The following has a questionnaire survey and statistical analysis of Xindu No.1 middle school 126 junior middle school students (Ming Zhang class[ Mingzhang class:Every year in order to commemorate anti-Japanese national hero Wang MingZhang, Xindu No.1 middle school would organize an entrance examination for all students in junior grade two to choose about 70 students according to their scores.The admitted students do not need to participate Chengdu senior high school entrance examination,they study 4 years in Xindu No.1 middle school to participate college entrance examination,such system is aimed at enabling students to adapt to high school life and improving the competitiveness of students in the college entrance examination.] 2 and junior grade three class 17) English listening learning condition. And according to the order of the influence factors degree, put forward some scientific and reasonable reference suggestions.We have reason to believe that, in the school and family under the active English listening study atmosphere, the teachers and students work together to create interesting classroom, learning of junior middle school students English listening to general and individual analysis, general and special analysis, specific issue concrete analysis, can effectively help eliminate listening impairment, improve the ability of English listening in junior middle school students.Along with the quality education in our country, under the traditional exam-oriented education examination system is gradually reform, the new curriculum of teaching materials and teaching methods are to quality education, English subject and English listening becomes more and more important, English and English listening is becoming more and more important, junior high school students to improve English listening ability truly, is conducive to improve English communication skills and English comprehensive ability to use.
