Abstract
Language is a sign system combining sound with meaning which is also a tool of human thinking and communication. In this colossal system, there are many units, precise and fuzzy. Determinacy and fuzziness are basic properties of human language which are unimaginable if we only have one of them. In my article, more emphasis was put on fuzziness and analytic models played very important role.
Since the spring and autumn period, scholars have done many researches on fuzzy language and have made great progress. In these years, articles pertaining to the differences of fuzzy language in different fields and of course its different pragmatic functions are relatively scarce, which are encouraged to be done at home and abroad in the future.
In this dissertation I introduced the topic about fuzzy language including its definition, types and unsolved problems. In the meantime, the differences of pragmatic functions were shown based on different perspectives in totally different fields.
