Abstract
With the development of economic globalization, English standing has risen notably. English teaching has become a significant component of basic education. Primary school’s English teaching is a period of laying a foundation, so it is of great significance. However, there are many misunderstandings which give rise to the phenomenon of “Dumb English”. This paper is based on the theory of semantic perception, analyzing communicative teaching method in primary school in a network environment. The theory of semantic perception argues: Semantic perception has a critical period. During the early period of children’ s growth, much attention should be paid to listening and speaking ability. Primary school’s English teaching should focus on verbal communication.
